It has been an exciting week for us here at Taskers Angling as we have seen plenty of exciting new gear come into our store. We thought we would share just some of these with you so you can see if there is anything that you like.
1. Korda Basix Weigh Sling
A weigh sling which is perfect for youngsters, people new to the sport and those on a limited budget. Also great if you are not looking to spend too much money on one. It is a traditional weigh sling but also has additional features which makes it easier to move your fish from the water to the unhooking mat.
It is also long and deep enough to be able to weigh any carp you are likely to catch in the UK and it is suitable for many overseas venues. A strong webbing is also attached to the bars on each side and gives good balance once they are attached to the hooks on your scales, allowing the fish to be weighed safely. There are also plenty of large drainage holes on the bottom so water will drain out when you carry it to your unhooking mat.
2. Sonik DominatorX 8000 RS Pro
This reel is dependable with a wormshaft gear system, twin spring-loaded captive line clips and it is made of a high strength lightweight graphite body/rotor. There is also a stainless steel main shaft and an oversized twist free line roller. Other key features include:

- Matt black anodised aluminium handle with wood barrel grip
- Micro line lay adjustment washers
3. Guru Fusion Bait Pro HT
One of the latest EVA fusion luggage items to join the Guru range. The main benefit of this is the unique hard top lid which has been designed to protect your bait from the elements. The lid is weighted and stays firmly in place without having to zip the lid up which makes it very effective in windy conditions. The lid itself overlaps the edges of the EVA bait pro which means your bait will remain in perfect condition, even in extremely wet and sunny conditions.
