Places to fish: Gyrn Castle

Located in North Wales this fishery offers great views stretching all the way out to Liverpool and even as far as Blackpool tower. It also boasts an attractive village with a great conservation area so there is more than just the fishing to take in here.

There are two different lakes at the fishery. The first being top lake which is 3 acres and then bottom lake which is 1 acre. The area has plenty of scenic woodland and is stocked with carp weighing up to 28lbs as well as plenty of rubb and perch.

On top lake there are 5 designated pegs which offers fantastic fishing. The waters also have a variety of depths ranging from 2ft to 10ft with a stream running in one end and a dam at the other.

It is very simple to book to fish at Gyrn Castle. There is a 24hr ticket system and you can book consecutive days if you want to. A landing net, weigh sling and unhooking cradle are provided on each peg. This is something we really like as we believe the well-being of the fish should be put first.

As ever there are rules that visiting anglers need to follow. Some of these include there being no more than 3 rods per angler, no braid, barbless hooks only and no fixed rigs are to be used. For more information on rules and bookings:-

We hope that as many of you visit Gyrn Castle as possible. At Taskers Angling we love to bring you new places to fish and we hope you get the chance to put your skills to the test on these waters.
